Restaurants "Put their best food forward" for 7th Annual Belmar Restaurant Tour

Chris Brandl - Thursday, March 05, 2015

When I started the Belmar Restaurant Tour seven years ago, I could only hope that it would become the awesome event it is today. The tour began with only a handful of restaurants, and now it’s grown into an annual affair with over 25 participating businesses.

I mean, where else can you taste the best of what Belmar’s restaurants have to offer, for only $35? As in years past, participants are eager to showcase samples of their very best dishes, so it’s a great opportunity to try different cuisines. I would say it’s like a five hour culinary cruise!

The tour has really evolved over the past seven years. In part, because there are so many exciting new establishments opening their doors in Belmar’s emerging downtown district. It’s great. The more people who come and visit Belmar, the better it is for all businesses, and for our fantastic community. That’s what’s so great about this town. Business owners really do want each other to succeed.

It’s pretty simple. When people work together toward a common goal, some great things can happen. One of the main reasons the Belmar Restaurant Tour got off to a great start, and continues to gain momentum, was because of one special restauranteur and friend, Tracie Orsi of Ragin’ Cajun. Tracie was one of the original supporters of the tour, and her enthusiasm and ‘can do’ attitude will long be remembered. Tracie recently lost her battle with cancer, and her presence will be missed at this years’ tour. This year’s tour is dedicated to her memory.

So grab your family and friends, and come on out to the
