Everything old is new again

We’ve come a long way baby.

If you haven’t heard already, Jake’s is back! I’m totally thrilled to announce that Jake’s is making it’s triumphant return to Belmar!  Jake’s Downtown is set to open in the new Beach Haus brewery building this season with the new Jake's trailer hitting Seafood Fest this weekend. This comeback means a lot to me, and I’m excited that this new venture has become part of the buzz that Belmar’s been creating lately.

We’ve updated our name, but don’t worry, we’re bringing back Jake’s famous crab cakes and crab balls. Plus, we'll be making our own hand-cut crinkle fries. From lobster rolls to whole, steamed lobsters, and ice cold, freshly shucked oysters on the half shell, Jake’s Downtown will pick up where the ‘shack’ left off...and then some.

Since Sandy hit back in October 2012, Belmar has come back strong. Within less than a year, the boardwalk was back and better than ever. Today, the beach is looking great, and the downtown scene is growing in leaps and bounds. With all the new businesses moving into town and putting down roots, Belmar has earned the right to call itself a trend-setting town.

I can’t wait to for the opening of Jake’s Downtown. It’s been years in the making, but well worth the wait. I’ll keep you posted, and I hope to see you there. In the meantime, come visit Jake’s Downtown mobile kitchen at the NJ Seafood Festival, Friday, June 12th through Sunday, June 14th at Belmar’s Silver Lake Park, 5th and Ocean Avenue.
