It’s that time of year again, and I couldn’t be more pleased to be part of JSRW again this year. The concept for the annual event has been embraced by
foodies all across Monmouth and Ocean counties. And why not? It’s a 10-day food festival for fans of every type of cuisine. You can start getting into
swim suit shape after April 26th. That still gives you a month until Memorial Day!
The week offers diners the chance to try new restaurants at great prices, and visit their favorite places as well. For chefs like me, it’s an opportunity
to showcase new and innovative dishes. With such a large helping of culinary talent on display, you should really take advantage of the exceptional
value. Each restaurant offers a 3 course pre-fixe menu, so save room for dessert!
For only $30.15, Brandl is serving delectable appetizers including Salmon Tartar, House Ground Meatballs, and Grilled Shrimp with charred eggplant
tapanade. For entrées, you can choose Lamb Bolognese with pappardelle pasta, or Seared Scallop with roasted cauliflower and tower greens, or
a delicious Flat Iron Steak grilled to perfection, with sunchoke, potato hash and herb gremolata.
And seriously, don’t skip dessert. Brandl’s dessert menu includes Sous Vide Creme Caramel, our signature Chocolate Soufflé, and Sangria Sorbet
with sponge cake. Like I said, there’s still plenty of time before Summer to shed the pounds!
Since the event started seven years ago, many first-time visitors have become Brandl’s most loyal customers. I hope to see them back again
this year, and I look forward to meeting new guests as well.
